Located in Baltimore just a short distance from the Inner Harbor, the Star Spangled Banner Flag House and Visitors Center features displays about the making of the massive 42′ X 32′ flag of 15 stripes and 15 stars that flew above Ft. McHenry during the famous battle that inspired our national anthem.

Nerd Trips ABCs

Admission fee: Yes. Check the website for updated fees.

Bathrooms: Okay, located in the Visitors Center.

Concessions/food: No on site, but the Flag House is super-close to Baltimore’s Little Italy and not far from the Inner Harbor where there are lots of restaurants and shops.

Cars/getting there: There is street parking or nearby garages. Flag House is located in downtown Baltimore with walking distance to the subway. Also, the Charm City Circulator (free) also passes near the Flag House.

Coffee cups (aka souvenirs): There is a gift shop. I can’t recall what, if anything, I purchased there.
