Hooded figureWashington D.C.’s Congressional Cemetery is the final resting place of some of nation’s most famous and infamous figures. Presidents and first ladies were temporarily interred there. Visiting this historic place reveals stories of people who shaped our nation’s history.

Cemetery is open from dawn until dusk. Cemetery office is open Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

Admission fee: It’s a cemetery. It’s free.

Bathrooms: Just okay. It’s a cemetery, what do you expect?

Cars: Street parking in the neighborhood. There may also be public bus transportation that comes close. Cemetery is located on Capitol Hill.

Concessions/food: It’s a cemetery, there’s no food. However, there were food vendors at the Day of Dog event.

Coffee Cups (souvenirs): I never went in the cemetery office, but I doubt there are many (if any) souvenirs.
