Dickinson-Hannig House, Austin, Texas

The Dickinson-Hannig Muesum in Austin tells the story of Susanna Dickinson, one of the most famous survivors of the Alamo. She lived quite an amazing life. The museum sits next to the O.Henry house.

Nerd Trips ABCs:

Admission fee: No, it’s free.

Bathrooms: I do recall any public restrooms. The place is so small, we didn’t spend enough time there to need the restroom.

Concessions/food: None. The house is located in downtown Austin, there are restaurants around.

Cars/getting there: We found street parking. I do not know about public transportation in Austin.

Coffee cups (aka souvenirs): I do not recall many souvenirs. I think there were some books you can buy.
