Lincoln’s Cottage is located on the grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home (formerly the Old Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home) about three miles from the White House. Lincoln lived at the house mostly during the summer months, which added up to more than a year of his presidency.
After a major renovation, the National Trust for Historic Preservation now operates the site. You must go on the tour to see inside the house.

Nerd Trips Post: We have one post about this location.
Nerd Trips ABCs:
Admission fee: Yes. We paid about $15, I think. Check website for latest prices. It is recommended you buy tickets ahead of time.
Bathrooms: Decent, located in the Visitors Center
Concessions/Food: Limited, if I recall. We were going out to dinner after, so I did not pay attention to food.
Cars/Getting there: We drove and had an early tour, so parking was easy. Check the website for driving directions and information about public transportation.
Coffee Cups (aka souvenirs): The gift shop is extensive. I bought a magnet and some post cards.
Curiosities: It was so cold on the day we visited that I almost did not take a picture with the Lincoln statue and the Nerd Trips sign. That picture has now become the main image for most Nerd Trips stuff (website, Twitter page, Facebook image, etc).
